LC Hauling runs bright pink trucks through Louisville, Kentucky. The owner's family members battled breast cancer. The pink trucks support the cause while hauling heavy equipment. Good story. Better branding. I built their WordPress site years ago. It worked. But they needed two things the old site could not deliver: more customers and better drivers. Every trucking company fights for qualified CDL drivers. The companies that make applying easy win. The ones with clunky forms lose. Most drivers apply from their phones while sitting in truck stops or waiting for loads. The old site had forms that barely worked on mobile. Drivers would start an application, get frustrated, and quit. LC Hauling lost qualified candidates because the forms sucked. That is expensive. I rebuilt the site from scratch with one focus: make it dead simple for drivers to apply from phones. No pinching and zooming. No fields that disappear off screen. No forms that reset when you switch tabs. Just a smooth application process that actually works. The driver application breaks into stages. Drivers do not see a massive intimidating form. They see bite-sized sections: basic info first, then work history, then CDL verification, then equipment preferences, then references. Each section takes two minutes. The whole thing takes ten. Completion rates went up because people actually finish what they start. Every application feeds into a dashboard where the owner sees new applicants instantly. No checking email. No sorting through spam. Just a clean list of qualified candidates with their information organized. The owner can track which stage each driver is in and follow up accordingly.
