Bourbon City Marine Center

Built for Dustin Kidd in Marine / Boat Sales & Service

A boat dealership website that automatically syncs inventory, captures leads, sends email alerts when new boats arrive, and runs two separate businesses from one site.

Bourbon City Marine Center

Project Overview

Bourbon City Marine Center runs two businesses under one roof: a recreational boat dealership and an emergency response vessel division. They needed a website that could handle both without the headache of managing two completely separate sites. We built them a single platform that powers two different websites (bourboncitymc.com and bourboncityer.com), each with its own look, messaging, and contact forms, but all managed from one dashboard. The dealership side automatically pulls in boat listings every hour from Boats.com, complete with photos and full specs, so the team never has to manually enter inventory again. When a new boat hits the lot, subscribers get an instant email alert. The site also features a downloadable Boat Buyer's Guide that captures email addresses and grows their mailing list automatically, an animated Great Loop route map that keeps visitors engaged, and landing pages targeting customers in 8 surrounding states. Every contact form on the site feeds directly to the sales team with email notifications, so no lead falls through the cracks.

The Challenge

Before we started, the dealership was entering the same boat information by hand across multiple platforms. Triple the work, triple the room for error. There was no way to capture leads from the website, no email list, no blog, and no way to track who was inquiring about what. The emergency response side of the business had zero web presence and was being lumped in with recreational boat sales, confusing both audiences.

The Solution

We automated the entire inventory process. Boats sync from Boats.com every hour and feed back out to BoatWizard automatically. No more manual entry. The team got a simple admin dashboard where they can manage everything: boat listings, blog posts, events, and six different contact forms, each one sending instant email alerts so the sales team can follow up fast. We gave the emergency response division its own dedicated website with separate branding, messaging, and contact forms for government agencies, without needing a separate hosting account or login. And the Boat Buyer's Guide download builds their email list on autopilot, with subscribers automatically sorted into groups based on what they're interested in.

Key Features

Boats sync automatically from Boats.com every hour with photos, specs, and pricing
Two branded websites running from one system (bourboncitymc.com + bourboncityer.com)
Simple admin dashboard to manage boats, blog, events, and every type of inquiry
Animated Great Loop map that draws the 6,000-mile route across 27 states
Downloadable Boat Buyer's Guide that captures emails and grows the list
Automatic email alerts when new boats are added to inventory
Six lead capture forms with instant email notifications to the sales team
Landing pages for 8 states to attract buyers beyond Kentucky

Results & Impact

Zero manual inventory entry. Boats go live on the website within an hour of being listed, with photos, specs, and pricing pulled in automatically. The email list grows itself through the Buyer's Guide download, and subscribers hear about new boats the moment they go live. Landing pages across 8 states brought in buyers from way beyond the local market. Two complete branded websites running from one system cut hosting and maintenance costs in half, and gave the emergency response division a real online presence for the first time.

Custom Feature

The Great Loop Route Map

Bourbon City Marine Center sells boats to customers planning America's Great Loop, a 6,000+ mile waterway journey through 27 states. We built this animated map so visitors can actually see the route come to life and understand why they need the right boat for the trip.

It's the kind of feature that keeps people on the site longer, builds trust, and positions the dealership as the go-to expert for Loop-ready boats. The map draws itself automatically when you scroll to it. No clicking required.
